With the year coming to an end, December had a slightly more relaxed atmosphere than usual.
Many guests spent time quietly in the lounge, and we often saw long term travelers naturally starting conversations with each other. It was nice to see everyone enjoying their time in their own way. This month, we also held a small Christmas party. We shared some snacks and drinks, took photos together, and had a simple but warm and cozy time with everyone. Another special moment of the season comes from our neighborhood. Mitsuwaya is located in the Tanimachi 9 chome area of Osaka, which is known for its many temples. Late at night on New Year’s Eve, we could hear the bells ringing from nearby temples. It was a peaceful sound that reminded us we were spending the New Year in Japan. Some guests even stopped to listen and said, “This feels so Japanese.”

December was filled with this calm, year end atmosphere.
