June was another lively month at Mitsuwaya, filled with many new encounters and moments of connection. This month, MIST hosted a special matcha event at Mitsuwaya, giving our guests the chance to experience a part of Japanese culture. Many residents from our share houses also joined us, and it was wonderful to see people naturally connecting and enjoying the experience together. We also welcomed a large group from the University of Victoria in Canada for a long stay. It was our first time hosting such a large group for this many days, and we were very happy to hear that they enjoyed their time in Osaka. The World Cup also kicked off in June, bringing even more energy to our lounge. Guests from different countries gathered almost every day to watch the matches, cheer for their teams, and enjoy the excitement together. Japan unfortunately finished in the Round of 32 after a close match against Brazil, but they put up a great fight against one of the strongest football nations in the world. I used to play football myself, so I definitely got a little more excited than usual!June was filled with Japanese culture, football, and plenty of connections between travelers from around the world.
