Mitsuwaya opened on February 2, 2016, and we will celebrate our 10th anniversary next year.
We are truly grateful to all the guests who have supported us and chosen Mitsuwaya over the years.

Looking back on our journey, we have experienced many things. One of the biggest challenges was the one year closure from 2022 to 2023 during the COVID19 pandemic. The hostel became quiet for a long time and we often wondered if travelers would ever return. When we reopened and guests came back with smiles, we were reminded of what Mitsuwaya values the most.

This year, the Osaka Kansai Expo brought many travelers from around the world back to the city. The lively conversations in the lounge, the mix of different languages, and the small moments of connection between guests made the hostel feel bright and energetic again.It was a time when our motto, “Sharing the beauty of Japan with travelers from around the world,” truly came to life.

Now that the Expo has ended, we are preparing for our 10th anniversary and the next chapter of Mitsuwaya.As part of this preparation, we will close the hostel for annual maintenance on the following dates:

Monday, January 26 – Thursday, January 29, 2026

About Luggage Storage

On the 26st, luggage storage after check-out will be available until 5:00 PM.
On the 29rd, luggage storage before check-in will be available starting at 9:00 AM.

As we approach our 10th anniversary, our team is fully committed to ensuring the guesthouse is in its best condition to welcome all our guests. We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation.
