Booking.com, one of the world’s largest accommodation booking sites, has announced the Traveller Review Awards 2025. We’re proud to share that, despite a temporary closure period, MITSUWAYA has received this prestigious award for the 9th consecutive year since opening.

The Traveller Review Awards are presented annually to accommodations that consistently receive high guest review scores on Booking.com. Being recognized among so many properties is truly encouraging for our team.

This year marked our second season since the guesthouse’s renewal. We were grateful to welcome so many wonderful guests — thank you from all of us at MITSUWAYA. And our review score this year was… once again, 8.8, just like last year!

While we’re thankful for this positive rating, to be honest — we’re a little frustrated!

We were so close to hitting 9.0!

Still, we take this result as an honest reflection of where we currently stand. Rather than settling, we’re more motivated than ever to improve our services and ensure that every guest feels truly at home during their stay.

Next year, we’re aiming higher — we’re going for 9.0 and beyond!

We’ll keep working as a team to make MITSUWAYA a place guests want to return to again and again.
