 Daily events in MITSUWAYA【2020】

 

In the year 2020, it was a difficult year, for all over the world.

At our hostel, MITSUWAYA, we started Dairy Use Plan. Then many neighbors started to use MITSUWAYA, as a place of study, work, seminar, party, etc… We are really glad of that, because we started to have a connection with local people!

 

When this pandemic comes to the end, MITSUWAYA will be a hostel where everyone enjoy together with tourists and locals! We cannot wait that!

“What can I do?”

I drew this because I thought it might be good for people who felt this way.

 

Actually, I drew it…..!🥺I did my best to draw them in a cute way, so please take a look if you like🙇‍♀️(😱)

 

It’s a beautiful Sunday, and there are only about four days left in 2020. So I’m going to look back on this year in lost in thought.

 

Needless to say, too much has happened this year…In Japan, one Kanji character is announced at the end of each year to symbolize the year. This year’s Kanji is “密(close)”. I think “転換期(Turning point)” is good.(There are many two words.)

 

I already miss the month of March, when I became a Mitsuwaya staff member. In March, COVID19 was just starting to spread, and it was hard to get masks and alcohol disinfectant, and I remember all kinds of information flying around….In the pre-COVID19 world, Mitsuwaya always seemed to be more crowded. I can’t wait to feel the lively Mitsuwaya.

 

Nevertheless, the hard times are still to come. But I hope I can send out more information about the goodness of Mitsuwaya in a better way.

Suddenly, QUIZ TIME~!! Do you know where is a country, Benin?🇧🇯

 

Yes!!! It’s in the African continent! 

 

I was send to Benin as a volunteer by Japanese government, while 2 years.

Benin life was unforgettable, including good things and bad things.

This day, my friend who worked in Benin together, they dropped by Mitsuwaya and we held a Benin Party!!!

 

We cooked Benin food and race cake(Because in Japan, we eat race cake at the night of full moon on October), enjoyed with MITSUWAYA staffs and neighbors as well!!

Last night, high school students (10persons) with strong sports stayed at MITSUWAYA 😄

At MITSUWAYA, when you checking out, guest bring linens downstairs, This morning I really surprised because they fold all sheets and put it in the box..

Young sports men made staff surprised a lot with their politeness, yesterday and this morning.

We now offering our space for studying, working, and also partying!

Last week, we have guests from Japan for this short stay plan.

They bought a bunch of foods in Costco and having a Costco party😭✨!!

Then they leave this picture’s message on our message book.

Sakura (Cherry blossom) in front of MITSUWAYA, it’s fully blooming now🌸 I got permission from the elementary school, so I tried to take some photo by DSLR Camera from the ground of the school. But a photo by iPhone was the best(↑).lol Hey, please tell me how to use camera, somebody🤣

Sakura, which is in front of MITSUWAYA, is almost fully blooming. This year we cannot have a Sakura viewing party because of COVID-19, so we did “Online Hanami (Sakura Viewing) with Instagram live. Many follower and guest watched and we talked, I was really happy! Thank you guys!

Our warm winter is almost done. It is great wether during the day.

Mitsuwaya is opening anytime. Our staff must be here in 24hour.

It is quite few case that all staff are in Mitsuwaya.

When you travel, you always eat out? But continuing eating out is tired, right?

At MITSUWAYA, we have common area with big window, the sunlight come through the window so it’s always warm in common area! Let’s lunchtime here and go out again for next exploring!!

🌄A HAPPY NEW YEAR 2020🌄

Thank you for staying at MITSUWAYA last year and for coming to see at Official website. On 2020, MITSUWAYA’s 5th Anniversary. How fast the time goes!

Yesterday, on NewYear’s Eve, we had the party! We enjoyed Okonomiyaki (Vegetable Pancake), Takoyaki (Octopus ball) and Soba! In Japan, we eat Soba on the new year’s eve, hoping “thin and long” nice life, because Soba is “thin and long”.

After eating Soba, we went to a temple to ring a “New Year’s Bell”. Many temple ring a bell 108 times, at the time “New Year Date” comes. Normally the priest rings, but nearby MITSUWAYA, there is a temple where visiter can ring a bell. It seems our guest enjoy a lot Japanese Style New Year’s Eve.

Anyway, we are so happy to spend the grate time with guest.
